OCTOBER 2025
During October, the very much anticipated Autumn Grit Camp in Sapa got cancelled because of the storm. This was such a shame since there were going to be so many fun activities while being able to be around such a breathtaking area. Though on the other hand, safety always comes first! From campers to mentors, it’s better to be safe and dry! We are looking forward to the next grit camp!
Mr Jacob, who is a very loved and well-known mentor, completed the 50km VJM (Vietnam Jungle Marathon) run, placing 18th out of 300 other runners. His perseverance, dedication, and endurance can inspire us all to do the same as well. This is a huge achievement, and I would like to personally congratulate him for his hard work! You go, Mr. Jacob!
Not long ago, on the 25th of October there was a fun camp event hosted at the Point Avenue center. At this event, students and parents were provided with the opportunity to learn what it’s like to be at camp! There were activities that we did at camp, like leadership games, teamwork challenges, and every camper’s favorite… the relay races that every camper definitely remembers! It was such a fun experience getting to see many smiling faces, laughter, and new connections being made. Hopefully, we get to see more new faces in future camps!
Hung Phan applied and was recently interviewed to become a Junior Supporter at Winter Leaders’ Camp 2025 in Cat Ba! Becoming a Junior Supporter takes a lot of responsibility, but it is a wonderful opportunity to see what it’s like to be a mentor at camp! You can learn from other experienced mentors, support younger campers, and create memories. Kudos to Hung Phan because it takes guts to apply for such a big role! Good luck!
Mentors have recently visited a beautiful resort in Soc Son, which has fantastic potential for weekend boarding camps. Soc Son is filled with amazing views, peaceful surroundings, and the resort has a lot of spaces for fun activities! Stay tuned for future announcements about this intriguing weekend boarding camp!
Next month we will have the long-awaited Camp Reunion! On November 23rd. Although it’s not just any reunion, it’s a pickleball reunion! An opportunity for campers to reunite with their friends while also hitting some balls back and forth to each other. Everyone is ensured to have fun! And then in December we have a hike in Soc Son on December 6th. You can hike with your friends, catch up together, enjoy the scenery, and also burn some calories during the process! We hope to see everyone there.
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for next month's newsletter.
